Desa Wisata Brajan

Brajan tourism village is located in Sendang Arum, Minggir, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The origin of this village's name adapted from the name Kyai Brojo Setiko. Although Brajan is just a small village, but the community has had craft not only in Indonesia but has to penetrate the international market. The typical work of this village is a Brajan bamboo handicraft.

In the Brajan village, most people working as a bamboo craftsman. Originally craft type that produced not only many kinds of baskets, place is made up and Pincuk. However, over development of the era, crafts diversified until now have been able to produce about 20 kinds of bamboo crafts.

Bamboo craft is what brings the Village Brajan become more developed until now recognized as a tourism village. Tourists can visit to study the creation of works of bamboo as well as to buy souvenirs and handicraft decoration of bamboo in Brajan basic materials.

Apart from the bamboo crafts, Brajan also have art that can be a potential tourist. The Arts include KuntuIan Art (Islamic Religious Art), Karawitan and Salawatan and Campursari. By staying in the village tour, the tourists are invited to experience the exoticism and the natural rural atmosphere. Access to the site is also easy because the road is accessible by two-wheeled vehicles and four wheel and supported a parking lot.
