Though still far for being perfect, GudegNet 2008 is the embodiment of perfecting on GudegNet from 2000-2005, not only from its contents, but its design and the system as well.

On this version, GudegNet brings Jogja on your screen through arts and culture news, social economy, education, and politic and governance. The improvement of Jogja is also portrayed by GudegNet 2008 through its city content directory.

New features such as Opinion, Agenda, and Today in Yogyakarta History will be displayed on GudegNet 2008 as a comitment for the visitor.

Since 2007, GudegNet also tries to optimalize her self from marketing and promotion side as honoured to be the official media partner for Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta (FKY) XIX-2007 or Jogja Art Fetival XIX-2007.

In the fifth anniversary in 2005, GudegNet, as information provider site about Jogja, prepares and makes up itself. Revision is done particularly on served content or information side. On the previous versions, GudegNet developed more on news and agenda about art-culture, then on the newest version, GudegNet tries to provide more various information and pay much attention to the development of Jogja in general. Besides, GudegNet also serves new design which is hopefully more informative, uptodate, and acceptable to all users.

The new version of GudegNet is a metamorph from previous versions. If we make a flashback, GudegNet has been developed three times since launched on Februari 24, 2000. The first version of GudegNet was developed with lack of experiences until an improvement on the next four months. First GudegNet presents with general features like news, agenda, discussion forum, and city directory about static information on Jogja. On the second version, per Juni 11, 2000, GudegNet offers dynamic content development system which was applied into features like news, agenda, opinion, discussion forum, consultations, and other features. On this version, GudegNet succeeded to open interactive side with users / visitors through consultation forums which was assisted by several partners of GudegNet and those features were highly responded. Whilst, GudegNet had been strengthened with reporters to search for news and agenda in the scope of art and culture, social, sports, and land use.


In the first anniversary, on March 2001, GudegNet began to work together with another media. With Swaragama radio station, GudegNet went on-air with interactive talkshows about IT and multimedia development, known as Compumedia. Along with the program, GudegNet made a lot of cooperation with companies, organisations, practitioners specializing on IT and multimedia development, as sponsors as well as main resources (speakers).

On September 2001, GudegNet added "Mas dan Mbak" and "ScreenShot" which were to perform youth profiles (mas dan mbak) in Jogja, particularly on their achievements and potentials. Similar to Compumedia, the features also received highly good responds from members of "Mas dan Mbak", visitors, and also another partners during the development and improvement of both features.

On Desember 23, 2002, two days after GudegNet was notified as "Situs Terbaik Kategori Informasi versi Majalah KomputerAktif" (see article on ACHIEVEMENTS below), a new version of GudegNet relaunched. This was the third version, mostly the same with the previous versions. However, from technical and design maintenance, GudegNet was served with more systematic and structurized. Significant development and improvement showed on the news and agenda therefore GudegNet was more noticed and got much attention as one of the alternative media on news and agenda provider particularly on art and culture. To strengthen the image, in 2004, GudegNet launched new feature known as "Profil Seniman dan Budayawan". The feature made GudegNet closer to visitors not only common netters but also artists and cultural experts in Jogja.
